We fish for the world famous Alaskan halibut from Kachemak Bay in Homer Alaska. The scenery is as exciting as the fishing. Every year Homer has a Jackpot Halibut Derby from the seasonal months of May thru September. Prizes are awarded for the five largest fish each month. There are more than 100 other tagged fish worth various amounts, they also award for the largest fish of the season of which the winning amount has been anywhere from $30,000 to $50,000 for that monster halibut. Be sure you don’t forget to buy that derby ticket. The Tacklebuster has brought in several halibut over 300 lbs.
